our story
harvest got its start in 1995 as the english ministry of alliance fellowship church afc. the leadership realized that as first-generation immigrants they were not well-equipped to minister to english-speaking next-generation people. harvest was the result of their vision. in 1997 harvest became an independent church plant. god has expanded our vision and ministry to extend beyond the korean-american context.
our vision is to be a “church of next steps.” that means we are committed to helping people take the next steps in their spiritual journey toward a personal relationship with jesus christ. whether you are exploring the christian faith for the first time or are a veteran follower of christ, we believe everyone has a next step to take.
our name reflects our desire to be:
- 1 a church that is fully and sacrificially committed to letting our community and our world know about the good news of jesus’ love - that’s the harvest part and
- 2 a church that also enjoys a real sense of family among those who are part of our congregation – that’s the community part.
god is still working at harvest community church, and we welcome you to join us and become a part of our ongoing story. |
