Why Life Spring Network?

Most pastors of growing Churches do a great job of creating integrated strategies and programs to attract people to join the Family of God and worship Him as their savior.

This is what they are called and gifted to do. Unfortunately, this same group of pastors, though deeply devoted and growing Christians, find it difficult to help people to mature in their faith. Their gifting lends itself to being gatherers, not to helping people grow through the life development process and follow Him as their Lord in increasingly more profound ways! Because of this, the discipleship strategies and programs often don’t produce enthusiasm and results for the people in the congregations that they are called to steward. When people are excited about a ministry in the church because there is a trail of life transforming testimonies, and this excitement is coupled with a desire to grow, then you have the beginnings of a discipleship movement in a church. In a church like this, a culture of growth and mature reproductive disciple making can become as normative as the culture of evangelistic growth.

In many churches the imbalance between the culture of evangelistic growth and spiritual formation is palpable. This imbalance creates a large back door for evangelistically minded churches and a small front door for more discipleship oriented churches. We believe that a balance can be achieved. We believe that growing evangelistic churches would benefit greatly from proven integrated strategies of sermons, seminars, life coaching, materials and leadership consulting brought to them by people who are anointed and gifted by God to train, equip and mentor people to steward their lives from God’s perspective. Life Spring Network was created and called into being to bring about this transformation in our church experience.
Life Spring Network is a network of networks.

First, it is a network of speakers, trainers and life coaches who are anointed and gifted to help people steward their lives from God’s perspective and realize their potential in Christ. They do this primarily by harnessing God’s wisdom and helping people apply it to their lives. We are also a network of Churches and Christian Ministries who subscribe to our products and services and are willing to host regional seminars and training events.

People have asked us why we have chosen to create this inter-church network and there are several reasons why.

First, to learn best practices from one another that are bringing about transformation in people’s lives. To share content, materials, methodology and tactics that are harnessing the wisdom of God and bringing about maximum strategic Kingdom Impact.

Secondly, to share gifted speakers, trainers and life coaches whom God has anointed and purposed with a distinctively discipleship oriented passion and message. A network is the best way to steward people with gifting in these areas, because they have the capacity to bless several churches at once with their ministry.

This is true for several reasons: because their ministry is not focused on being the primary teacher at Sunday morning worship services, like the gatherers, they have the opportunity to offer their ministry to multiple churches at the same time during the week. This is especially true because fewer people show up for discipleship training relative to worship services and because the training and equipping seminars are seasonal investments in a believers life. Once people have been properly Trained and coached/mentored they can be released back into the churches as lay and paid ministers on mission who are engaged in on going mentoring/coaching of one another within their congregations.

In addition to this, most small to medium sized churches are led by one pastor and their time is largely invested in gathering and pastoring type responsibilities like preaching, leading worship, leadership board meetings, counseling, hospital visitations and special services (weddings , funerals, baptisms, etc.). When you consider that 90 % of what is said in a sermon is forgotten within 24 hours and most of the content and training in Stewarding Life from God’s perspective happens in this forum, then you can see why our churches are anemic at best when it comes to people who are living a mature, vibrant and reproductive faith!

They would love to help their people grow into fully devoted followers, but they simply don’t have the time and haven’t built the habits and skills necessary to do so. Life Spring Network was created to be able to come into a church and partner with the existing pastors to bring what is missing in their overall disciple making process.

The dream and mission of Life Spring Network is to unlock the potential of the church by:

Training, Mentoring and Equipping communities of Christians to steward their lives and realize their potential in Christ through speaking, seminars, consulting, resources and life coaching that foster reproductive discipleship.
